What is a circuit board?
A printed circuit board (PCB) serves as a carrier for electronic components and contains the necessary electrical connections to the components on one or more layers. The connection between the circuit board and the component is made via a soldered connection. There are usually 2 options for soldering connections:

THT (Through hole technology): The components are mounted on the front of the PCB and soldered on the back.
SMD (surface mounted device): The components are mounted on the front of the PCB and soldered on the front. This enables higher packing densities and automatic assembly with high throughput rates).
